The bishops of Texas through the Texas Catholic Conference of Bishops (TCCB), with one exception, are calling on the faithful from throughout the state to contact their respective state senator and state representative to urge the lawmakers to support SB 1944/HB 3099 which reforms the Texas Advance Directives Act and to oppose SB 917/HB 2609 which eliminates the dispute resolution process. SPECIAL thanks to all those who helped to create a beautiful environment for our Lenten and Triduum Services. The decorations were tasteful; even elegant. Thanks to the music makers and Cantors too. This time of the liturgical year brings great challenges to present the People of God with a “stepping into” the Memory of our Salvation through Jesus Christ and His Cross. Such GREAT LOVE. The Catholic Church presents us with beautiful liturgies, significant Scripture Readings, and prayer offerings. It is up to each Parish to implement the drama and songs of our Catholic liturgical Season. And St. Andrew folk do this extremely well. Thanks to everyone who honored the Lord by bringing your presence into His Sacred Presence, honoring Our Lord with great joy and heartfelt praise. We gather always to pray for the whole world. But this Spring time of year, with Lent/Easter and Easter-tide (closing Pentecost Sunday…50 days after Easter) truly identifies us as a Confessing Church that Jesus Christ is truly the Son of God and the Redeemer of the World. Thanks for your joining in with such respectful silence where needed and glad tidings at the Good News that HE HAS RISEN FROM THE DEAD! Alleluia! Blessings and Gratitude to ALL!
Many thanks to all those who stepped forward to make financial sacrifices for our new Holy Water fonts! Special thanks to an occasional visitor from Avon, Indiana, Ellen M. Challman, whose generosity made it possible for us to purchase two new fonts for the Adoration Room of the Sacred Heart. God bless all those who are so generous here. You are always in our daily prayers and Masses. Sincerely+ Fr. Jim
