Mrs. Olga Macias, having served as our School Principal for a year and a half, has decided to resign her position. Some conflicts regarding Diocesan policies for School Administrators were in conflict with Mrs. Macias vision for our School. It is important to have uniform structure, consistent with Diocesan policies and procedures for the smooth administration of each School, part of the larger Diocesan system. Mrs. Macias served us very well and I am personally pleased with her nurturing style towards the Saint Andrew School Community. It has come to pass , however, that this was not the best fit in the overall picture of the Diocese at large and our own Parish School fitting into the fabric of uniformity. I had hoped Mrs. Olga Macias would stay until the end of the present School year of 2019-2020. Mrs. Macias elected to resign now, and pursue other interests of family life and professional possibilities. She will be greatly missed as I, personally, am quite fond of her and I know this is shared by the School community. We are gifted with stellar professional folks from the Superintendent’s Office. Resources provided for our School Community are superb. We are in excellent, caring hands from the Diocesan Office. I take great consolation in the new temporary Administration, serving us through the rest of the academic year. We are entering a mode of gathering a new search committee to fill the big shoes of Mrs. Macias. Saint Andrew Catholic School is considered a premier Catholic institution of a solid curriculum. We stand on the shoulders of giants, as my Novice Master used to say. With such a hardy foundation, and zeal for all Saint Andrew Catholic School is about, the current thrust is to not only sustain our values and standards, but grow them too, and prosper in God’s Grace and His guidance via our Administrators and fine Teachers.
So, again, by the new School year of 2020-2021, we will have a new Principal for our excellent School.
Do keep Mrs. Macias in your good prayers, that she may continually be blessed by our Good Lord as she enters into her next phase of her very professional career. We wish her all the best.
Also, do pray that we be led to surface the best of Principal applicants. I am very, very grateful for Ms. Jennifer Pellitier for her gracious leadership and encouragement of our efforts to teach the Catholic Faith and form young academicians for future forays into the future God gives us in these challenging times.
Thanks for your support of our Parish and School. What a great place to be ministering, learning, and sharing what God gives us here.
Sincerely in Christ+
