Children under 14 must complete Empowering God's Children (Step 2) before volunteering.
Teens aged 14 to 17 must complete the Teen Volunteer Application and Teen Code of Conduct (Step 1), attend Empowering God's Children (Step 2), and then participate in Teen Leader Training (Step 3) before volunteering.If your child is enrolled at Saint Andrew Catholic School, Nolan Catholic High School, Vacation Bible School, or the Finding God program, they have already completed Empowering God's Children unless you opted out.

Application and Code of Conduct
Teen volunteers must complete the Diocesan Teen Volunteer Application.
Teen volunteers must review and sign the Teen Code of Conduct and Behavior Standards.
Both forms must be submitted to Theresa Gaitan, the Safe Environment Coordinator, via email or in person

Empowering God's ChildrenThe Empowering God's Children Program is for children and youth from Kindergarten to grade 12. It teaches them about personal boundaries, how to recognize and respond to violations, and how to report incidents to trusted adults. The program is offered in Catholic schools, parish religious education classes, and youth ministry sessions.
Completing this program is a requirement for applying for Teen Leader Training.Empowering God's Children will continue to be organized by each school or parish. To schedule a class, please contact Terry Adams, Michele Salcedo, or Emily Bennett. For more information about the course, click here.
