Fort Worth, Texas
Mr. Henry Borbolla has been a church pianist/organist in the Fort Worth diocese for over 30 years, beginning at St. Rita as an accompanist before moving to Good Shepherd where he served as accompanist and choir leader for 17 years. While at Good Shepherd, he began serving at Saint Andrew, and played at both parishes every week until 2009, still playing at St. Rita Saturday evenings. Henry is the substitute organist at St. Patrick Cathedral and at Holy Family, and on call to play weddings and funerals as needed. He feels blessed to be able to serve the diocese, especially Saint Andrew, and hopes to do so for many years. Henry believes that good music not only enhances the liturgical celebration, but also makes the celebration more prayerful for the people in the pews. The greatest compliment he can receive is to hear that his music led someone to a prayerful place or had a positive impact on them, if only for a few minutes during Mass.
