Until COVID, as many of you know, during School Masses on Wednesdays, the students brought food to be gathered at the Offertory and brought over to our former Pantry. Saint Andrew Catholic School will begin collecting food for the St. Bartholomew St. Vincent de Paul Society. Only the School. The Church will keep to our Mission of home visits and taking care of those in need without collecting food in the Church proper. The Knights of Columbus from St. Andrew will pick-up the School food donations and take them to their distribution point. NO FOOD is to be collected in the Church at our regular Masses anymore. Our St. Vincent de Paul Society has another Mission/Model we have implemented here at Saint Andrew Catholic Church. Thanks to all, particularly to Sabrina Moore who is gifting us with her leadership of our new St. Vincent de Paul Chapter at Saint Andrew. And special thanks too to Fr. John Shanahan, TOR, for his instrumentality in going from one model of the Pantry to the new one of the Society.
