In 1852, Cardinal Saint John Newman used the phrase “second spring” in his famous sermon referring to the rebirth of Catholicism in England. Cardinal Newman was canonized on October 13, 2019. We are happy to recognize his sainthood and adopt his expression for our campaign that has retired the debt from our first phase of construction and will raise funds for Phase 2.
As a result of the successful Saint Andrew Capital Campaign, our campus has undergone significant upgrades and expansion over the past three years. The work that has been completed is staggering:
These wonderful improvements have modernized and increased the usability of our campus, and have also brought greater visibility and recognition to our parish. In short, it has been a “Second Spring” in every sense. And this transformation could not have been completed without the many generous donors to the Saint Andrew Capital Campaign!
Due to the overwhelming support of our Parishoners, we have been able to completely retire the debt from all these building projects. This has enabled us to begin the process for Phase 2. Phase 2 will consist of the building of a new Early Childhood Center to house the School’s Pre-K 3 and 4 year old programs, a construction of a newer, expanded and modernized kitchen and Cafeteria that will double as another large meeting space for use by the Parish, and creation of Outdoor Learning Spaces for use by the school and various Faith Formation groups.
You are invited to participate in this next phase of “Second Spring” by making a pledge to the Second Spring Campaign. Fr. Jim is asking for the participation of all parishioners, as well as each organization affiliated with the parish. We ask for your prayerful consideration and discernment of this request.
