    • Life Teen Information & Registration:

      What is Life Teen?
Life Teen is a movement within the Roman Catholic Church that leads teenagers and their families into a deeper relationship with Jesus Christ and His Church.  Our Life Teen group is open to all teenagers regardless of the school they attend or the sacraments they have received.

Generation Z (those who were born between 1995 and 2015) is unlike any other generation before them. Facing the reality that young people are becoming less religious, are less likely than ever before to claim a religious identity, and are no longer beaing raised with a Christian worldview, we are taking an entirely new approach to how we talk about religion an our Catholic faith with high school teens.

Before they can care about what the Church teaches, they need to know that God exists. Before we can teach them details about morality, they need to know that there is absolute truth. Before we can expect them to be excited or invested in the Mass and the sacraments, they need to know Jesus. Our Life Teen Youth Group will be full of Catholic teachings, doctrines, devotions, and practices, but focuses on an evangelistic message to help teenagers encounter Jesus Christ through the big questions they ask and through topics that are especially relevant to young people.

What is Youth Group going to look like this year?

Youth group will start on August 22, 2022. We will meet each Monday from 7:00 - 8:30 pm for a Life Night. These nights will consist of games, a teaching, small group discussions, and an opportunity to encounter Christ through prayer.

Our winter will start out with the series Making Sense. Humanity is searching for something. Saint Augstine states, "Our hearts are restless O God, until they rest in you" (St. Augustine, Confessions, 1, 1). This restlessness is part of the human experience and in the culture of the world around us. The answer to the restlessness that life brings is God and, in a unique way, the grace found in the Church through the seven sacraments. Prior to His Ascension, Jesus reminded us, "I am with you always, to the close of the age" (Matthew 28:20). The goal of Making Sense is for the teens to understand how God's grace is found in the sacraments of the Church so that they will be strengthened in their personal relationship with Jesus Christ.

We welcome you to our Youth Ministry family!  Community is more important now than ever, and we look forward to seeing what great plans God has in store this year. We are here to walk alongside you, so please feel free to email Kaitlyn anytime with questions at [email protected].

Gentle reminder…..   Our confirmation classes will complement our LIFE-long Youth Group setting on Monday evenings.  Youth who are interested in receiving their Sacrament of Confirmation or have already received it should also be enrolled in Youth Group. More information on Confirmation coming soon.
